Your Labor Pool is valuable even while you are building it. While it is not fully optimized yet, having access to an extension of your workforce gives you flexibility that you wouldn’t have otherwise. You can simultaneously bring in workers from your Labor Pool and bring in new faces so you’ll be able to meet unexpected demands without scrambling for temps or full-time hires.
As mentioned before, this is not an overnight miracle. There will be an adjustment period while you grasp using on-demand labor and find Operators who fit into your facility well. There will be no-shows and there will be all-stars, just like when you bring in new people to work within your facility. If you stick with it, you will start to see the power and flexibility of on-demand labor.
