There are a few ways to get more bids on your Ops:
Post Single-Day Ops
Our data shows that single-day Ops yield the highest attendance rates compared to multi-day Ops. Single-day Ops also help stimulate the marketplace in your area, which can result in more Operator engagement over time.
Increase Your Pay Rate
Operators tend to gravitate towards higher paying jobs. They have many options through Veryable, so the pay rate is a major factor in how many bids you will receive. Higher paying Ops also tend to yield higher quality bids.
Adjust the Work Hours
Are you posting out for 10+ hour shifts? You may consider shortening the hours of each Op so you can divide the work across more Operators. This allows you to bring more people in each day which means more hands on deck! It will also help you build out Your Labor Pool faster!
Have a Detailed Op Description
If there isn't enough information within your Op Description, Operators won't know what they’re committing to. Most Operators want to be sure they’ll do the work correctly and don’t want to commit to something that isn’t going to be a good fit. Here are some helpful things to include in your Op Description:
- Specific information regarding the work to be performed
- PPE or dress-code requirements
- Lifting requirements
- Any perks such as an air conditioned facility, lunch provided, etc.
Post Piecework Ops
Piecework is another way of paying Operators that is based on how much work they get done. Unlike hourly pay, piecework incentivizes productivity because the worker will be paid for each unit of work instead of based on how long they stay there.
This means a worker can finish more and be paid more, or they can finish a set amount faster and go home sooner. This also benefits your business because the labor cost per unit stays the same, so you won’t end up paying for unproductive time.
